the Sea
in half a Clam

Call me Rainy -
This page is dedicated to my passion for radical haiku/senryu and short form poetry more broadly.
Bare with me... the site is still very much a work in progress as you can see

all writting/poetry
unless otherwise specified
is my own
- do enjoy!!

protest senryu:

the farmhand speaks
his mother toung
to the cat

in the truck bed
with the tools
day laborers

waist deep in lilies
the preachers white robe
proves off white

the biggest pumpkin
mans the unmanned
pumpkin stand

drainage marsh
an empty snail shell
foating there

classic haiku/senryu:

only a single crab apple
hangs
late autumn sky

sick
at the window
wild grasses bloom

red thread
goes straight through the needle eye
big sky

black abyss
between water striders
the rain starts

bath toys
a shower chair
water drips

petting the scabby stray
petting the fleas
the spring moon

into snowy skies
make the last
dandelion wish

free haiku (jiyuritsu):

dawn
a turtle on the ice

from over
the prison wall
a dandelion seed

wildflowers
weeds
cant tell the difference

the sea
in half a clam
sky too

sun on my skin
waters flavor

not a cloud
the sky all yours
bluebird

stung by a bee
the poor bee

steam above the insects voices drips

cool pine breezes
stoke still heat
cicadas

friendless up floats a mosquito

rainbow dewdrop spiderweb
stillness

at the foot of the pine
at the foot of the mountain
a fires corpse

rainy halloween
the little satan
shy

buzzards
circle circle
circle

dry grass loudly shushes silence
